Washington secured a spot in history when he did not back away from corporate responsibilities that led to freedom. They have a monument in his name on the National Mall.
And, if you go to the Capital Building, and look up to the top of the dome, you'll see the Statue of Freedom. On it states "E Pluribus Unum", which means "out of many, one".
Freedom does not mean doing whatever you please whenever you want. That's closer to anarchy. Freedom does mean becoming self-ruled, by the people, for the people, as one nation, without military rule or dictatorship. Freedom of this kind is precious in today's world.
What will you do today to honor the freedom we have in America?
